A new animated prologue for Sonic Frontiers focuses on Knuckles
As we race closer to the release date for Sonic Frontiers, we're treated with an awesome animated short featuring Knuckles!
We’re only days away from the release of Sonic Frontiers. The new adventure with the blue blur looks to be the most ambitious title in the series in years. SEGA has kept story details a secret from fans. But they finally have given fans a taste.
On the Sonic The Hedgehog YouTube channel, A new animated prologue has been released focusing on Knuckles. The short goes into his backstory of being the protector of Angel Island and the Master Emerald. Things seem peaceful until he finds a mysterious artifact in an area he’s never explored before. As you can guess, things turn chaotic very fast. You can check out the full short below.
It seems like Sonic Frontiers is going to dive deeper into our heroes on a psychological level more than we’ve ever seen. The series has hinted at Knuckles feeling alone and responsible for his duties. But it’s never been spelled out as explicitly as this short did. Plus, showing Tikal and the Chao is an interesting choice? Could they play a part? We’ll find out soon!
