Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of a new week, which means we have lots of exciting new releases to look at. Whether you want to hit the ropes in AEW: Fight Forever or solve the case of Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, there’s something new for you. So, let’s not waste anymore time as we look at this week’s upcoming games.
Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed: Single Player (June 27)
Starting things off this week, we have Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed: Single Player. Developed by Black Forest Games and published by THQ Nordic, the team completely rebuilt the original game in Unreal Engine 4. Promising to be, “the most funkadelic version” ever made, the remake adds new features to the 2006 classic.
Some of the new features hitting this remake include additional skins for Crypto and the ability to change paint jobs on your flying saucer. In addition, you can also have fun exploiting all new weapons like the Meteor Strike to annihilate your foes. Though the game launched last year for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, last-gen players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can start their invasion tomorrow. However, the last-gen version of the game will only include single-player.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (June 27)
Strolling into your home next is Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Developed by Marvelous Entertainment and published by XSEED Games, this simulation game lets you tell your own generation-spanning story of friendships, family and farming. The peaceful game allows you to live a carefree life, while growing your crops and raising your animals.
In addition, you can make new friends along the way as you explore the town of Forgotten Valley. As you progress, you’ll even find love among the eight eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life plants its seeds onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow.
AEW: Fight Forever (June 29)
Then, All Elite Wrestling makes its in-ring debut to the video game world in AEW: Fight Forever. Developed by Yuke’s and published by THQ Nordic, this arcade-style wrestling game puts you into the boots of all your favorite AEW superstars. Featuring over-the-top match-types like the Unsanctioned Lights-Out and Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match, the game promises fast-paced grappling action.
You can also create your own wrestler and take them through branching storylines in the Road To Elite mode. For those looking for a change of pace, the game also offers a variety of whacky minigames as well. AEW: Fight Forever slams out onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this Thursday.
Crime O’Clock (June 30)
If you love puzzle games, you won’t want to miss Crime O’Clock. Developed by Bad Seed and published by Just For Games, this Where’s Waldo-inspired puzzler will task you with over 40 cases to solve across time and space. From the Lost Age to a cybernetic future, you’ll solve crimes across many eras.
However, what you solve in one timeline could affect the cases in another. As a result, the map changes as you play through to reflect the butterfly effects. You can crack the code in Crime O’Clock when it comes to Nintendo Switch and PC this Friday.
Everybody 1-2-Switch (June 30)
Everybody 1-2-Switch is a party game developed and published by Nintendo. The sequel to 2017’s hit game features team-based games you can play using the Switch console Joy-Con and mobile devices. Players will split into teams to see which group can win a certain number of games first.
In addition many of the games have several variations to add extra challenge by changing up the rules. Are you ready to grab your friends and play some fun and whacky games? If so, you can jump into Everybody 1-2-Switch when it hits your Nintendo Switch this Friday.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (June 30)
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is the console port of 2011’s Nintendo DS exclusive. Developed and published by Capcom, this mysterious adventure receives the full HD remaster treatment with reworked gameplay. The game follows Sissel, who passes away under mysterious circumstances.
Throughout the game, you’ll play as his ghost to figure out how he died by way of solving puzzles. The game also now comes in 9 languages, including the newly-added Chinese (traditional), Chinese (simplified) and Korean. You can solve the mystery of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective when it launches Friday for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Goodbye World (June 30)
Goodbye World is an adventure game that spotlights the struggles of indie game development. Developed by Isolation Studio and published by PM Studios, this narrative game centers around the story of two young game designers struggling to make ends meet. Throughout the game, you’ll also play a Game Boy-inspired puzzle-platformer played by one of the protagonists.
As you progress, you’ll experience protagonists Kanii and Kumade’s struggles to get their games to sell. As a result, the two spend most of their time working part time jobs to make ends meet. Though the game first launched last November for Nintendo Switch and PC, you can play Goodbye World this Friday on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Master Detective Archives: Rain Code (June 30)
Closing out this week is Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. Developed and published by Spike Chunsoft, this adventure game places you in the shoes of Yuma, an amnesiac detective-in-training. Alongside the spirit Shinigami, you’ll tackle unsolved mysteries in this lucid-noir detective adventure.
Each Master Detective has a supernatural ability known as a Forensic Forte. Throughout the game, you’ll use these abilities to gather facts and clues beyond the reach of an ordinary person. You can play Master Detective Archives: Rain Code when it comes to Nintendo Switch this Friday.
