AEW partners with Texas Chain Saw Massacre this Wednesday
Jeff Jarrett vs Jeff Hardy with special guest.... Leatherface?
Last night on AEW Rampage, wrestler Jeff Jarrett starred in a promo video announcing a collaboration with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
In this first-time-ever Texas Chainsaw Death Match, Jarrett will go one-on-one with the Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy. This extreme match will take place on AEW Dynamite this upcoming Wednesday, and Jarrett even hinted at Leatherface himself making an appearance. You can also check out the official match announcement for yourself below!
As for what this “Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship” will entail, your guess is as good as mine. However, with the Last Outlaw taking on the Charismatic Enigma in a match with no rules, we know one thing: it will be EXTREME! Two legends of pro-wrestling going at it in an extreme death match with a possible cameo from Leatherface? Yeah, I’m sold on it!
AEW also has its own game with Fight Forever
Although All Elite Wrestling is now collaborating with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game in this extremely bizarre, yet intriguing sponsorship deal, the wrestling promotion also has its own game. AEW: Fight Forever launched on June 29 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Developed by Yuke’s and published by THQ Nordic, the arcade-style game harkens back to the days of AKI titles like WWF: No Mercy.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre slashes into your house this Friday
Ever since Dead by Daylight took the world by storm in 2016, asymmetric multiplayer games became a staple subgenre for survival horror. In 2017, Gun Interactive took things to the next level, introducing a game solely focused on one horror film franchise Friday the 13th. Now, the team that brought Jason Vorhees to your home console aims to do the same with Leatherface in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
First revealed during The Game Awards 2021, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetric multiplayer horror game starring everyone’s favorite chainsaw-wielding psycho. However, the new game looks to separate itself from Gun Interactive’s previous entry by offering up three killers in matches instead of one.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is developed by Sumo Digital and published by Gun Interactive. The game launches on August 18 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. In addition, Xbox players have the advantage of the game’s Day 1 Game Pass launch.
