Cotton Fantasy is a brand-new, “modern” Cotton game for Switch, PS4
Cotton and Silk return in Cotton Fantasy!
ININ Games and Success announced on Nov. 9 that Cotton Fantasy will head to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The new title in the Cotton franchise will introduce a number of modern mechanics including HD graphics. In addition, Cotton Fantasy will enhance gameplay by refining the series’ iconic shoot ’em up mechanics. The developers state that the modernized mechanics will give players a more precise experience than ever before.
Cotton Fantasy also will feature six playable characters that fans of the series are sure to love. In addition, the new game will have 16 unique stages and a nostalgic soundtrack featuring remastered tracks from previous games. The new Cotton game will also utilize a combination of vertical, horizontal and 3D movement.
The light-hearted story features Cotton and Silk embark on a brand new adventure. Along the way, players can also enjoy charming cutscenes, fully voiced in Japanese. The developers plan for Cotton Fantasy to be a great entry point for new players, as well as a fun sequel for established fans.
Pre-orders are live on Strictly Limited Games
You can pre-order the Limited Edition and the Collector’s Edition of Cotton Fantasy now from Strictly Limited Games. The Limited Edition costs $45.99 for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Because the pre-orders officially went live this past Saturday, November 13, anyone interested in getting a Limited Edition copy will want to act fast. Only 3,000 Nintendo Switch and 1,500 PlayStation 4 copies were available as of Saturday. However, there are likely significantly fewer copies now.
The Collector’s Edition is also highly limited with only 2,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,000 copies for PlayStation 4. This version costs $126.99 for both platforms and comes with a large variety of extras:
