For years, American fast food fans and gamers have all made jokes about two properties. Sonic, the speedy blue Hedgehog from SEGA. And Sonic, the fast food chain that allows an old-fashioned car hop experience with good American classics (and frankly fantastic tater tots, in my opinion). Wouldn’t it be a slam dunk for the two to collaborate?
Somehow, it still hasn’t happened. Even when both Sonic The Hedgehog movies were released, nothing materialized. But, finally, there might be hope. Sonic, the fast food chain, tweeted this the other day.
Now, what could this possibly mean between the two Sonics? The best idea would be to have a new style of Chilli Dog inspired by the blue blur. Maybe with a double dose of cheese or a different type of chili than you usually get at the Drive-In chain? Knowing SEGA and how they like to brand the hedgehog, the possibilities are wild to speculate about.
Usually, I end these news articles by concluding the point about the game involved and when it is released. But there’s not a point here. Only speculation. So I guess go play a Sonic game of your enjoyment? Or go get some good food at your local Sonic Drive-Thru? Might I recommend their tater tots again along with the Footlong Quarter Pound Coney?
