At Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2021, SEGA quickly revealed a new character for the upcoming Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. The demon of Mt. Natagumo, Twelve Kizuki (Lower Five) Rui is coming to face off against you as a boss in story mode! SEGA did not confirm yet if he will be playable. You can check out the reveal trailer below!
Who is Rui in Demon Slayer?
For those that don’t watch Demon Slayer, Rui is one of the most powerful demons our heroes face off against in the first season. The thought of having to face him as a boss is a bit terrifying, to be honest. He is not a demon to be taken lightly. His powers involve making deadly webs out of his blood that can carve anyone to pieces in seconds. The trailer makes it clear in mere seconds that the developers understood his move set.
SEGA also confirmed today that there will be post-launch content concerning versus mode. All SEGA said in a trailer was that demons will invade vs mode with no further details. We will update readers when we know what this means, but it seems that there are plans in place for post-launch content.
