Did You Know Gaming? unravels the untold history of Wonderful 101
How a collection of Nintendo characters became an army of henshin heroes
With the recent announcement of the Wonderful 101: Remastered on Kickstarter, now is as good a time as any to look back at how this formidable fighting force came to be. Fortunately, video game archivist and researcher Liam Robertson is here with Did You Know Gaming? to do just that in the latest episode of Game History Secrets:
As of this writing, the Kickstarter has smashed its goal of $49,370 USD and, as of this writing, has $1,582,502 USD from 24,405 backers with 23 days still remaining. As a result, this has seen to it that the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam for PC (What? No Xbox One? For shame), and will feature new content, including “Luka’s First Mission,” a remixed soundtrack, and “Luka’s Second Mission.” What else is there to unlock? If support continues to be strong, then maybe we’ll find out by the end of the month. (Our money is on “Luka’s Third Mission” being in there somewhere.)
Incidentally, while we’re on the subject of crowdfunding, if you’re interested in a review of the original Wii U version, then be sure you’re subscribed to Mega Visions magazine in time for our ninth issue!
