Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus is a Golden Axe parody game that needs your support

Look, we’re suckers for just about anything that pays homage to SEGA classics, and Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus by SuckerFree Games is certainly one of them. The 2D brawler, which is being developed for PC, Mac, Linux and OUYA, is heavily inspired by Golden Axe, and even the developers readily admit the game parodies the classic arcade game.

SuckerFree Games has an ongoing Kickstarter campaign for the game, which aims to raise at least $10,000 to fund its development. If the campaign can reach $20,000, though, SuckerFree says it’ll implement a “Golden Axe Genesis style Arena Combat mode.”

Currently, Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus has only been able to raise about $2,500, and with 10 days to go, it definitely needs some support to meet its goal.

We’re hoping to have some of the game’s developers on next week’s SEGA Nerdcast to talk more about the game. In the meantime, check out the video and the game’s Kickstarter page and consider contributing to help fund the game!
