E3 2019: New Mario & Sonic Olympic’s trailer released
First revealed at SEGA Fes all the way back in March, Mario and Sonic will be going head-to-head once again in the Olympic Games.
Nintendo held their annual Nintendo Direct for this year’s E3 and showed off a number of games related to the console. One of which is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. This is the first installment of the series since 2016, when Mario and Sonic were last seen together at the Rio Olympics. Due to SEGA not having the rights of the Olympics in 2018, they regained them as it was a perfect opportunity to have these two rivals go at it one more time in their home country of Japan.
The game will feature an all-star cast from both the Mario and Sonic franchises, respectively. There are already 16 sports announced, including four new sports: Skateboarding, Karate, Surfing and Sport Climbing. Local and online multiplayer will also be available upon release. The game will be available to play at SEGA’s booth at E3.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games will be available in November 2019 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
