Do you hate bugs? Does the idea of giant insects roaming the Earth terrify you? If that happened, you’d probably wish you had a plethora of big guns at your disposal to take these massive freaks out. Right? Well, I have a game for you. Say hello to Exocide!
Developed by Hellforge Studio and published by Apogee, Exocide takes place in a world where humans made superbugs to fight as soldiers. But those superbugs have turned on humanity. You’re the last Handler, a human+AI robotic team with 4 total arms capable of welding 4 weapons. Oh, did I mention you also get a big gun? I can quote Aliens right now. “Is this going to be a stand-up fight, sir, or another bug hunt?” Its clear movies like Aliens and Starship Troopers may have influenced Exocide a bit. And I’m all for it! It looks like another old-school shooter Apogee is trying to bring back as a publisher that focuses more on flair than realism. After years of Call Of Duty dominating the genre, I’ll take more of these!
