Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade gets final trailer, Square teases part 2
The final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade has been released by Square Enix ahead of its June 10th release. The trailer was part of a Final Fantasy stream that took place overnight over in Japan. In the trailer, we get new details into Yuffie and new partner Sonon’s quest before they officially meet up with Cloud and the gang in part 2.
The trailer showed off a new tactical mini-game that looks fully playable in the DLC. The trailer calls it Fort Condor! This leads me to think it will be based on the Fort Condor Challenge from the original Final Fantasy VII. We also got a glimpse of a new summon, a mech boss controlled by Scarlett, and the villainous Nero!
Producer Tetsuya Nomura also gave some quick details on the development of part 2 at the end of the stream. He confirmed that it will start right after Intergrade, will have a different feel than part 1, and will have Cloud running in the wilderness. He capped it off by saying development is going smoothly, so I suspect we will see more soon!
You can check out more screenshots below from the trailer! Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is set to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 10th. If you bought the game, you will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free at release.
The upgrade adds enhanced visuals and 60 FPS to the PS4 JRPG masterpiece. You will have to buy the Intergrade DLC though. It will retail at $19.99.
Are you excited to see the remake tackle Yuffie before she joins Cloud and the gang for part 2?
