Football Manager 2014 opens at 18 in UK sales charts
SEGA would likely be the first to admit that Sports Interactive’s Football Manager series isn’t for everyone. Actually, it’s an incredibly niche title – that of managing a soccer/football team. However, the series has carved out a devoted fanbase that simply craves the immense control and management Football Manager gives its players.
Football Manager 2014 released last week in the UK and promptly butted its way in the UK’s top 20 overall sales charts, opening at the 18th spot. However, on the Vita sales chart, the game took the top spot, and according to Sports Interactive Director Miles Jacobson, it obliterated the rest of the Vita field.
FMC on Vita is no.1 in the UK Vita chart, outselling the no.2 by more than 5 times! Hope all who bought it are enjoying it.

The game that Jacobson is referring to is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, which is quite a feat knowing how popular the Final Fantasy series is.
In other SEGA UK sales chart news, Aliens: Colonial Marines continues to hang in the top 40, dropping one spot from last week to the 24th spot. The reason for Colonial Marines’ staying power could be in the deep price slashes the game has seen after its release. For instance, Game is offering Colonial Marines for a paltry £4 .99 on its website.
