Here are the differences between Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis and PSO 2
If you asked us to guess which series SEGA would announce a quasi-sequel or expansion for during the Xbox Games Showcase, Phantasy Star Online 2 certainly wouldn’t have been at the top of our list of choices.
I mean it’s only taken SEGA nearly 15 years to release the game in the West, so why the heck would we think they’d release an expansion so soon after it finally released here?
But that’s exactly what those maniacs did when they announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis – an expansion on the original PSO 2, which adds a slew of new content but also exciting features like a new graphics engine and game’s system. Perhaps the most exciting part is your character will be playable in both versions, but some monetary items cannot be crossed over.
This video does a fantastic job at nailing all the differences and similarities between both games so be sure to give it a watch if you’re interested. PSO 2: New Genesis will arrive in 2021 for the PC and PlayStation 4, and you can visit the official website here.
