HORI unveils Sonic the Hedgehog Split Pad Pro Switch controller

Ever wanted to play your Nintendo Switch in handheld mode with controllers featuring Sonic’s face? Soon, you’ll be able to! HORI has unveiled the latest in its line of Split Pad Pro controllers for the Switch, this time based on Sonic the Hedgehog. The Blue Blur joins the likes of Pac-Man and Pokemon in HORI’s unique handheld mode controller line.
The HORI Split Pad Pro controllers feature an ergonomic design to provide a comfortable experience for playing the Switch in handheld mode. Featuring a larger grip, buttons, triggers, analog sticks, and D-pad, these controllers have a number of advantages over the normal Switch Joy-Cons.
This controller is also officially licensed by Nintendo and SEGA and will be available starting Jan. 31. See what it looks like below:
All about the HORI Sonic Split Pad Pro controller
HORI’s Split Pad Pro line essentially takes the HORIPAD + controller, cuts it in half, and optimizes it for the Switch’s handheld mode. Featuring bigger buttons and sticks plus a layout redesigned for comfort, the Split Pad Pro helps those with larger hands or who just hate the Joy-Cons play comfortably in handheld mode. This controller, specifically, contains contrasting blue and white artwork of Sonic, and it looks awesome plugged into the Switch.
