One of the most underrated games of the year for Metroidvania fans is Infernax. A bloody and brutal love letter to the genre, it’s one of the best examples of the type of hidden gems you can find on Xbox Game Pass. I 100% completed the game earlier this year, but it looks like I’ll be diving back in.
Developer Berzerk Studios has revealed a new playable character coming to the game, “The Stranger.” You’ll be able to play as him from the start of a new save file on all systems. You can check out the reveal trailer below.
So, he’s Jason Vorhees, Rick from Splatterhouse, and Ash rolled into one? You got me. I’ll be starting another playthrough of Infernax! In all seriousness, it looks like The Stranger will have a much different playstyle than the main hero. That alone is worth taking another dive to see just how differently each character plays in certain areas and bosses
