Langrisser 3DS will be released this July in Japan

Gamers who might remember Langrisser from the days of SEGA Saturn and SEGA Genesis will be happy to know that a new game from the series will be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. Titled Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei, the game will bring back the familiar game mechanics that fans have come to know and love, including  special traits of each unit, commanders and mercenaries.

According to Games Talk, “The three powers known as the “Bright Army,” “Imperial Army,” and “Dark Army” are competing for power. As the commander of a some sort of power, the protagonist teams up with mercenaries and various other allies while in search of his little sister who he was separated from at a young age.” Depending on your choices, the story can branch off in various directions and have multiple endings.

Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei is scheduled for a July release in Japan.
