Leaked screenshots for Armored Core 6 allegedly revealed
A forum user on ResetEra shared screenshots from a supposed From Software user survey.
It looks like FromSoftware is working on the next Armored Core game if the latest reports are true. Red Liquorice, a forum user on ResetEra, posted screenshots depicting what is assumed to be Armored Core 6. If the information is accurate, it gives us the first look at the first mainline Armored Core game since 2012.
Red Liquorice shared information they received from a survey conducted by Armored Core developer FromSoftware which included both screenshots and a gameplay video (which has not been shared). According to the survey, Dark Souls and Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki is creating the game’s world. Later, the user shared screenshots of the game, albeit hidden behind a watermark which Red Liqourice has edited.

What we know about the Armored Core 6 screenshots
It’s difficult to determine specifics just by analyzing the screenshots Red Liqourice shared. As you’d expect from Armored Core, there’s plenty of mech action as well as a few previews of the sci-fi setting. The early reports suggests “Souls-like” gameplay, but without seeing the gameplay for ourselves, it’s obviously wise to take this with a grain of salt.
Red Liquorice offered commentary on the gameplay footage and screenshots:
“The boss fight looked quite Soulsy — the long range gunfire reminded me of Virtua On, that’s my frame of reference, I’m not a mech fan and haven’t played any AC games. The player character in a white mech went in close to the bigger robot boss and fought with like an energy or laser sword, this looked Souls-style.”

We’ve yet to receive official confirmation from FromSoftware on the legitimacy of this announcement. If it’s true, however, we might be heading back into the fray with Armored Core 6 sometime soon.
