Every year, Limited Run Games streams their annual event called LRG3. It’s a play on E3, and their logo is an homage the classic logo from the Expo. Today, LRG unleashed the big kahuna on collector enthusiasts, with a gargantuan list of physical games in the pipeline. Douglas Bogart, Co-Founder of Limited Run Games, had this to say about their annual event:
Each LRG3 we look forward to revealing what we have in store for the future. We continue to partner with some of the best talent in the industry and this year is no different. We’re very excited to announce 30 individual new physical products coming out through LimitedRunGames.com including a lineup of titles from Konami, Lucasfilm Games, and WayForward
Douglas Bogart
As Bogart mentioned in his official statement, Limited Run Games revealed 30 games that are set to land in the future. Their partnership with Konami carries on through three physical releases. The three games include:
- Contra Anniversary Collection – PS4, Switch
- Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night – PS4
- Castlevania: Rondo of Blood – PS4, Turbo Duo
Konami isn’t the only developer LRG is tangoing with. They also partnered with WayForward to release the first five Shantae games, as well as River City Girls, River City Girls Zero, and River City Girls 2.
Out of left field, they also announced Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties, the adult-oriented 3DO game from 1993. The original release saw almost entirely negative reviews. Despite being promised as a full motion video game, you ended up playing with a slideshow. Totally fun! The Angry Video Game Nerd did a tremendous job giving an overview of the game.
