LIVE A LIVE has a new demo available now

We’re only weeks away from the release of LIVE A LIVE for the first time in the US. If you weren’t aware, the game is a 1994 RPG by Square that takes place over nine scenarios with eight playable characters. It was never released outside of Japan until this year. Where it has received the HD-2D remake treatment Square has fallen in love with. If that sounds interesting to you, you can go try the demo now!

Nintendo and Square Enix have released a demo containing the first three chapters of the game. Better yet, all progress will carry over to the game on release. We took a look at the demo ourselves over on YouTube. You can see that series of videos below!

It’s good to see Square and Nintendo be confident in an obscure title like this. With Square loving the HD-2D style with its older titles, this game’s success could lead to more games getting the treatment. Maybe something like, oh I don’t know, Final Fantasy Tactics? That would be fun!

LIVE A LIVE releases for Nintendo Switch On July 22nd. Check back later this month for more stories and opinions from us after the game’s release. Are you excited to jump into this RPG for the first time? Let us know in the comments below.
