We like to fancy ourselves as pretty big fans of the ToeJam & Earl series, but even we pale in comparison to TJ&E super fan and home security extraordinaire Macaulay Culkin.
The actor has been very vocal in his support of the series on social media and even visited HumanNature’s studios a few months back to get an early look at how the upcoming ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is shaping up.
Apparently, he liked it so much that HumaNature Studios just announced that Culkin has now become an executive producer for the game, providing “crucial input to ensure the game is a hella good time,” according to the press release.
“I’m honored to be producing the new ToeJam & Earl because it is literally my favorite video game of all time,” Culkin said. “Plus, Greg Johnson is the tits!”
Series co-founder Johnson seemed equally excited to have the former Home Alone star attached to the game.
“ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove is a ‘90s styled blast from the past,” Johnson said. “Macaulay Culkin, the star of the ‘90s classic Home Alone is an Uber Fan of the ToeJam games. He totally gets the vibe and humor of the new game, and his involvement has made the game even crazier and more fun.”
Back in the Groove will release on March 1 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC for $19.99.
