Master System’s Ys Chronicles 1 released on iOS, Android

For many young Master System owners, Ys: The Vanished Omens was one of the games, along with Phantasy Star, they could use as ammunition on school playgrounds against those pesky NintenDorks.

Ys 1 was never exclusive to SEGA consoles, mind you, and today DotEmu released a revamped version, titled Ys Chronicles 1 on iOS and Android devices for $4.99.

The game retains its “bump” fighting system, making it incredibly easy for one-touch play. What’s more, the game includes controller support, achievements, multiple game modes (Adventure and Time Attack), two graphic modes (Chronicles and Original) and the options to choose from several soundtracks (Chronicles, Original and PC-88).
