Naruto and the rest of Team 7 join Fortnite today

Could the Naruto collaboration also mark the end of Chapter 2?

Since the announcement made by Epic Games last week, fans anticipated the collaboration between Naruto and Fortnite. As of today, the wait is over!

Naruto and the rest of Team 7 arrive on the Fortnite island

It turns out the leaked image about the collaboration from Twitter user HYPEX is accurate. The crossover adds new Naruto skins that players can purchase from the in-game item shop. As implied by the leak, the four characters include Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi.

In addition the collaboration adds a Naruto glider, two emotes and two loading screens. The Naruto crossover with Fortnite also adds a throwable paper bomb kunai as a new weapon. Kakashi Hatake also appears as an NPC who will give players quests.

Another huge inclusion exists within Fortnite’s creative mode. An entire Naruto-themed village based on the Hidden Leaf Village is fully explorable in the game.

Ending the Chapter

The update that brought the Naruto collaboration with Fortnite may also be the final update for this Chapter. Tom Phillips reports on Eurogamer that various clues hint to the end of Chapter 2 and the beginning of Chapter 3.

In addition, Phillips found a new hint within the latest patch notes. The notes make multiple references to Chapter 1 Season X. For example, the Brutes are making a return alongside the shopping cart. Additionally, The Cube Queen’s domain turning into a pyramid falls in line with previous leaks regarding Fortnite’s direction.

Whether or not the latest update is the end of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, the collaboration with Naruto is a welcome addition. What do you think of the new Fortnite x Naruto crossover? Is it worth the hype? And do you agree that Chapter 2 is coming to a close? Let us know what you think down below!
