Earlier today, Tate Multimedia unveiled the latest trailer for Kao the Kangaroo. This time, we get to learn more about Kao’s enemies and how he’ll combat them. You can watch the collection of Kao’s moves in the official trailer below!
Though short, shows off a wide array of enemy types Kao will have to face. From giant, hammer-wielding apes to goat creatures that launch sheep out of barrels, Kao has a deep variety of adversaries. Each enemy type also features distinct characteristics that will require players to go about taking them on differently. Some enemies fire projectiles, some utilize brute strength and size, and others hover above the ground and require a bit of aerial combat.
As a result, the enemies will always keep players on their toes. Therefore, to take on Kao’s collection of baddies, players will also need to utilize all of his abilities. Kao can punch, kick, jump and unleash powerful finishers to fight. Alongside direct combat, Kao will also need to use his speed and agility to outrun the giant ape (pun-intended) barreling towards him at the end of the trailer.
The official description for the new trailer reads as follows:
Master the fist, embrace the power of the gloves, unleash Kaohaos! Unleash powerful finishers, jab your foes into submission, and use what your momma roo gave you!

Kao had his first adventure on the SEGA Dreamcast in the year 2000. With four original games and 700,000 units sold worldwide, however, it’s been years since Kao sprung into action. Now, over 20 years since his first adventure, Tate Interactive will reboot the series with Kao’s biggest adventure yet!
The new game promises to deliver beautiful worlds to explore with tons of collectible items. In addition, it will feature fun combat that utilizes Kao’s powerful magic boxing gloves. Throughout the game, you’ll also engage with a fun story, colorful characters and challenging bosses.
Although the newest trailer highlights Kao’s foes, last week, Tate Interactive showcased the kangaroo’s friends and family. Kao the Kangaroo launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on Friday, May 27! The PC version will be available on both Steam and Epic Games Store. You can buy the game digitally for $29.99 or pick up a physical copy for $34.99.
