Zoinks! More Warner Bros. fighting game leaks surface

Will we finally get to see Big Chungus versus Shaggy in a video game?

The rumors of a Smash Bros-style Warner Bros. fighting game continue to grow since they began circulating last week.

Just a few days ago, part of the game’s roster allegedly leaked. The oddball cast of characters include the likes of everyone from Batman to Rick Sanchez. Now, new images surfaced that show two different stages from the rumored game.

The images appeared in a document leaked in the Discord server of Smash Bros content creator PapaGenos. The files show off the Tree House from Adventure Time and the Get Schwifty concert from Rick and Morty. In addition, the document leaks gameplay details, such as a “knock-back percentage” system akin to Super Smash Bros.

The game is reportedly working under the title Multiversus. The rumor stems from a recent copyright for that name filed by Warner Bros. Details of the speculated project first surfaced on Reddit and were later verified by GameBeat’s Jeff Grubb. However, Grubb dispelled the myth of NetherRealm’s involvement.

Other rumors about Multiversus suggest the title will be free-to-play with new fighters added periodically as paid DLC. Among the speculated DLC characters is basketball legend LeBron James. The newest leak also suggests that Arya from Game of Thrones will be a playable character.

Possible Warner Bros. fighting game roster?

Additionally, a multitude of other characters are “confirmed” for the title. The roster includes:

  • Steven Universe
  • Batman
  • Harley Quinn
  • Finn & Jake
  • Shaggy
  • Superman
  • Wonder Woman
  • Gandalf
  • Rick Sanchez
  • Bugs Bunny
  • Tom & Jerry

As ridiculous as this game sounds, some evidence points to its authenticity. Although Warner Bros. has not confirmed the existence of Multiversus, they have been taking down posts and videos on social media regarding the potential game. Do you think Multiversus is real? If so, what are your expectations? Let us know in the comments!
