It seems like we are inching closer and closer to the release of River City Girls 2. Every new story seems to hint it’s only a matter of time before we get the sequel old-school beat-em-up fans have been waiting for. Wayforward is taking their time to make this game bigger and better than the first. But they’re not keeping fans in the dark.
A new trailer released has shown off a new playable character, Marian. A girl who was sick of getting saved, she trained her butt off to become a burly fighter of her own. Even one that warrants the admiration and respect of Misako and Kyoko! You can check out the trailer below.
Well. I think I found my new main. I always gravitate toward the burly characters in beat-em-ups like Max (Streets Of Rage 2) and Haggar (Final Fight). There’s something about planning out the timing of hit detection that I adore playing stronger characters. And Marian looks like she fits that bill for me!
There is still no official release date yet for River City Girls 2. But it is slated for this year. It will release on PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Are you excited to try out Marian and her potent skillset? Let us know in the comments below!
