In November, we were very thankful for Streets of Rage for all the plentiful turkey health power-ups found throughout the game. So thankful, in fact, we made it our Game of the Month in November!
We also reviewed Streets of Rage 2, 3D Streets of Rage and our buddy The Requiem interviewed the literal Streets of Rage. It was actually pretty damn awesome.
This month, we’re going back to the Saturn by playing NiGHTS into Dreams!
Why NiGHTS?
NiGHTS is one of our favorite Saturn games of all time. It has SEGA’s classic fun gameplay and captures the wonderment of what being a little kid is all about.
Also, being that it’s close to Christmas and all, we also plan on playing the Christmas NiGHTS levels, too!
How it works!
Oh, you’re a new member to the Game of the Month Club, you say? Well, here’s how it works:
- We choose a game;
- Play it throughout the month and
- Share our experiences together in the SEGA Nerds official forum thread.
It’s a month-long discussion, so we encourage you to participate in the forum thread as often as possible as you experience the game. As usual, we have several articles specific to our Game of the Month.

Thankfully, SEGA has re-released NiGHTS onto a multitude of other platforms, so you don’t have to hunt down the original Saturn version to participate. Here are your options:
