For those looking for a reason to head back into the Oddworld, you’re in luck. Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition is set to release in late November for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store.
Oddworld Inhabitants released Oddworld: Soulstorm, the remake/reimagining of the 1998 PlayStation title Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, in April of this year. This enhanced edition touts gameplay and motion improvements to make for a smoother experience as well as additional content.
Digital versions of Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition will go live in late November. For Xbox, the company is teaming up with Microids to release two physical editions. You can pick up a Day One edition and a Collector’s Edition that features a number of goodies.
What’s new in Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition?
This new version of Oddworld: Soulstorm includes numerous gameplay fixes and improvements to help make the game smoother overall. The game launched with a number of gameplay issues and glitches that Oddworld Inhabitants worked to fix after launch. With these gameplay and motion adjustments, Enhanced Edition promises to be the definitive way to play this cinematic adventure.
This also marks the arrival of the game onto Xbox as it was previously a PlayStation and Epic exclusive. To celebrate, in addition to the digital version, Xbox players can pick up the physical Day One version with an embossed metal case for $49.99 USD.
For the ultimate Oddworld: Soulstorm experience on Xbox, you can also pick up the Collector’s Edition (pictured below). It comes equipped with the embossed metal case, a nine-inch Abe figurine, a 160-page art book, three art prints, a Soulstorm Mining Co. keychain, an Abe’s hand tattoo, and tribal stickers. That collection is available for $149.99 USD.
