Phantasy Star Nova will release in Japan this year

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that SEGA next entry in the Phantasy Star series, Phantasy Star Nova, will release this year in Japan on the PlayStation Vita.

According to the Google translation of the article, Phantasy Star Nova takes place on a planet called Makia, after an ARCS planetary exploration team crash lands and must find a way off. The planet is rich in a mysterious energy source known as Gran, and players will use it to perform a variety of techniques.

We first heard about Phantasy Star Nova in September last year, and despite Western fan’s initial excitement, it doesn’t look like it will be headed to the United States or Europe.
