The Pixel Heart and Dreamcast stories are some of my favorite times of the week. Recently, the renown publisher and distributor announced selling (old) new, sealed Dreamcast games. They would announce a new batch of games every week, and we’ve got the latest pair right here.
Virtua Tennis 2, or Power Smash 2 (パワースマッシュ2) in Japan, is the first game in the latest announcement. The sequel is the first entry to feature female tennis players. Venus and Serena Williams can take on the fellas in mixed doubles matches!
Here are some of the features:
- 2 to 4 players.
- 16 world famous players.
- 3 main modes: Tournament, Exhibition matches and World Tour.
- Create your player and follow his evolution over the matches.
The next game also comes from the sports realm, in the form of Snow Surfers. This game is made by the same devs who created Cool Boarders on the PlayStation. The visuals are quite nice for that era, and the actual snow boarding mechanics are top notch. Two-player support is available too – woohoo!
There are only 184 copies of Snow Surfers left, and 281 for Virtua Tennis 2. The classic snowboarding game will run you 24,90€, while Virtua Tennis 2 sits pretty at 29,90€.
These copies won’t last forever, so it’d be a good idea to nab a copy while you can! Keep in mind these are PAL versions of the game, so you might want a converter.
Have you played Virtua Tennis 2 or Snow Surfers back in the day? Share your memories in the comments below! We’ll be sure to keep reporting on the latest retro releases from Pixel Heart.
