The downsides of digital sales
There is some complaint about PlayStation Store sales being limited to just Sony. Consumers have noticed that digital versions of PlayStation games are exclusive to the PlayStation Store. This criticism ramped up so much that there has been a class-action lawsuit filed against Sony for having a “monopoly over the sale of digital PlayStation games”. Not much has been heard about the lawsuit since it was filed in early May of 2021. However, it still remains relevant to the PlayStation digital sales discussion. Along with PS5 users getting the short end of the stick once again, some PlayStation customers further criticize their business model.
