PSO2: New Genesis launching this June and closed beta announced

Since the release of Phantasy Star Online 2 (or PSO2 ) last year, the MMORPG has grown well past one million players and counting. As SEGA stated in their introduction video for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, it was time for the game to get new makeover.

Yesterday, the closed beta opened for PSO2: New Genesis and is exclusive to PC users. Those who signed up will be able to access the game on May 14th to the 16th. The sign-up is a first come, first serve basis, so register quickly before those ships take off to newer worlds.

As if the closed beta wasn’t enough to get you going, SEGA announced during a livestream that New Genesis will be launching this June. Both Japanese and Global servers will be updated simultaneously, however they will still been on different servers due to location, meaning urgent quests and mission will vary depending on what server you are on.

With this exciting news of the release and the closed beta, things are really looking up for the future of Phantasy Star and we’ll be around for the launch. Hopefully the beta will go smoothly than it did from last year.

Sorry SEGA, we still love you!

PSO2: New Genesis will launch this June for Xbox consoles, Windows 10, Steam, and Epic Store.
