Radiant Silvergun left, but is now back on the Nintendo eShop

It’s been a bit of a wild ride for cult-classic Radiant Silvergun since it hit Switch last week. The legendary shmup from Treasure was made available on the Nintendo eShop after a reveal on Nintendo Direct. But it was then mysteriously pulled a couple of days ago from the North American version of the eShop.

Now, publisher Live Wire explained a bit of the reasoning why. According to a tweet from them, Radiant Silvergun was removed from the NA eShop due to a rating change. If a game’s rating has to be changed, data must be reconfigurated on the store posting. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to take the game down and have it re-approved. You can find the tweet explaining the reasoning below.

Weirdly enough, this isn’t the first time this has happened to Live Wire. The same thing happened to Mushihimesama last year. A bit of an odd issue to happen twice, but hey, the rating change data has gone through. Now you can get the SEGA Saturn favorite on the go again!

Radiant Silvergun is available (again) on the Nintendo eShop. It is also available on Xbox consoles thanks to backward compatibility with the 360 version. Are you looking forward to adding another shmup to your Switch library? Especially one this renowned? Let us know in the comments below!
