Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness’ latest trailer turns up the drama to 11
The Resident Evil series and Capcom are definitely having a heck of a year. With the recent release of Resident Evil: Village to great reviews, Capcom is setting their eyes on the Netflix series. The show was officially announced at last year’s virtual Tokyo Game Show by executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi.
RE: Infinite Darkness star Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. The zombie drama will be an episodic TV show, as opposed to a movie like it was speculated before. For story and lore lovers, Infinite Darkness takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5.
This week, Capcom and Netflix unleashed a new trailer for the show. In it, we see Claire trying to connect the dots around this global conspiracy. For some reason, none of the politicians want to go on record about the zombie outbreaks! Nearing the end of the trailer, we see a gigantic, horned creature. He kinda looks like shrubbery, if you ask me.
Here’s Netflix’s official description:
The landmark survival horror video game series Resident Evil has shipped over 110 million copies worldwide. Popular characters Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield appear in this CG serialized drama, the first in series history! Don’t miss this new epic entertainment on a scale more spectacular than ever before!
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness streams worldwide on July 8, 2021.
