During the 1990s, racing fans has the pleasure of experiencing Road Rash on their SEGA Genesis. The first game was updated for later SEGA consoles/peripherals, including SEGA CD and SEGA Saturn. A spiritual successor to Road Rash was announced back in 2014, which became quite successful on Kickstarter.
Road Redemption‘s release date was pushed back for good reason.
“We decided that since our backers have had access to regularly-patched PC, Mac, and Linux beta versions of the game, that it’s better to take our time and release something great, than to feel pressured to stick to our 2014 Kickstarter date and release something mediocre,” Fisch said in an official statement.
“We’ve seen Kickstarted games like Armikrog and Mighty No. 9 release before they were ready,” he continues, “and I don’t think that satisfies anyone”.
Road Redemption is officially coming out for PC, Linux, and Mac on October 15th, while the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be released on January 15, 2017.
