Finally!
SEGA have announced today that their SEGA 3D Classics line for the Nintendo 3DS will be releasing on the western eShop throughout the coming holiday season.
Each game will be priced at $5.99 (€4.99 / £4.49) and the first two titles will be available to download digitally from Thursday the 28th of November. The selection consists of eight classic SEGA arcade and Genesis / Mega Drive titles, all of which have been re-built with mind boggling 3D effects.
The list of titles with their release dates is as follows;
- 3D Space Harrier – 11/28/2013
Enforce the law by smacking baddies clean in the face, all in glorious 3D. - 3D Super Hang-On – 11/28/2013
- 3D Sonic The Hedgehog – 12/5/2013
- 3D Altered Beast – 12/5/2013
- 3D Ecco the Dolphin – 12/12/2013
- 3D Galaxy Force II – 12/12/2013
- 3D Shinobi III – 12/19/2013
- 3D Streets of Rage – 12/19/2013
Despite releasing in pairs it does seem that each game will be sold separately at $5.99 each.
I admit that it would have been nice to receive two games for that price, but beggars cannot be choosers. I just want me some classic Space Harrier arcade action… and in 3D, too!
