Konami Digital Entertainment and SEGA Intereactive Japan have announced they will be joining forces to develop an electronic money infrastructure platform for amusement (arcade, pashislot, crane machine, etc) machines. Though most companies in Japan, including these 2 ones, have already a system that allows electronic payment via arcade center cards, the new platform aims for cross company payments over different platforms. Both companies are aiming to release the platform this Summer 2016.
Interesting news… considering JAEPO is just around the corner (today Feb 19th) in Japan.
