SEGA announces JAKKS Pacific will produce new Sonic Prime toys
You can get your hands on Sonic Prime merchandise next year!
Today, SEGA announced a partnership with JAKKS Pacific to produce new toys inspired by the upcoming Netflix series Sonic Prime.
The collection will include a variety of products including action figures, playsets, vehicles and plush. In addition, JAKKS subsidiary company Disguise Inc. will produce a line of costumes and accessories inspired by the new show. All of the Sonic Prime products will release worldwide in 2023.
The partnership between SEGA and JAKKS Pacific for Sonic Prime is part of an ongoing relationship between the two companies to produce Sonic toys. In the official press release, SEGA of America’s Michael Cisneros emphasizes his excitement of the continued partnership.
JAKKS has consistently captured Sonic’s signature persona, and we’re thrilled to have them on board for another partnership. Sonic Prime will feature everyone’s favorite hedgehog setting out on a new adventure, so we’re looking forward to providing innovative products to audiences everywhere that will bring the iconic character to life.

About Sonic Prime
Netflix first announced their partnership with SEGA to produce Sonic Prime in February, 2021. Seasoned animation veterans WildBrain Studios will produce the animated series. In addition, WildBrain confirmed plans to produce 24 episodes.
The new series, based on the hit game series Sonic the Hedgehog, will tell an exciting new story about the Blue Blur. The show will focus on both Sonic’s quest to save the world, as well as themes of self-discovery and redemption.
