Earlier last month, rumors swirled around about a potential new entry in the Sonic & All-Stars Racing franchise. A leaked slide from an internal meeting with Sumo Digital, which seemed to confirm the rumor. Unfortunately, SEGA social media guru Aaron Webber squashed those rumors by saying,
Hi guys – saw rumors floating today about another SART game. Just wanted to confirm it’s not a thing!

Today, SEGA released a teaser trailer for what definitely looks like a racing game. Based on the teaser, it looks like it might be a sequel to Sonic R. It looks like Aaron Webber was being sneaky, and technically not wrong. Nice job trying to swerve us, guys!
