Earlier this morning, SEGA president Kenji Matsubara abruptly resigned from the company. Citing “personal reasons”, the resignation is effective immediately, although there has not been an announcement on his replacement.
You can check out the official statement here. Matsubara served as their president since 2017, and added chief publishing officer to his role three months ago. He joined SEGA in 2014 as CTO for SEGA Networks company. Prior to SEGA, Matsubara served as CEO for Tecmo Koei.
