SEGA reveals pre-order details for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles

There’s a part of me that is still stunned that SEGA is releasing Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles and not Bandai Namco, but it’s coming October 15th, 2021 worldwide. The hit anime was one of the most discussed properties last year and has entered mainstream conversation after the massive success of the movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train. Anticipation for the game is high amongst fans. Thankfully, SEGA has revealed pre-ordering details and different editions.

The game will have a standard physical and digital release and a digital deluxe edition. The digital deluxe edition will include 8,000 slayer points, 3 Butterfly Mansion skins, 12 character avatars if ordered on PS4, PS5, or Steam, 4 character unlock keys, and a custom theme if ordered on PS4. If you buy the standard edition you will get 1 character key, 2 character avatars, and the PS4 theme.

All of the extras excluding the PlayStation-specific bonuses will also be included in the Xbox versions of the game. The most enticing reason to get the digital deluxe edition? Pre-ordering it will allow you to play two days early on October 13th. You can keep your cosmetic bonuses. I’ll cave for the deluxe edition so I can start learning Tanjiro before the official release!

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles releases on October 15th, 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
