SEGA’s European marketing director heading to Xbox UK
It looks like the head of marketing over at SEGA of Europe is jumping ship to the green side, aka Microsoft. Former marketing director for SEGA, Amanda Farr, will be serving as head of Xbox content and services in the United Kingdom starting March 2nd. Farr will be reporting to the Xbox UK director of marketing, Harvey Eagle.
Farr’s new position at Microsoft will oversee the management of Xbox games and Xbox Live, as well as helping third-party publishers market their game on the Xbox consoles. “I am delighted to be joining Microsoft and the Xbox team at this incredibly exciting time, and to work with Microsoft’s partners delivering the best content and experiences to Xbox and our customers,” said Farr.
“It’s a fantastic time to welcome Amanda to the team as we prepare to bring an amazing line-up of games and other content to Xbox platforms in 2015,” said Eagle. “Her wealth of experience in the games industry will be a great asset to the team.”
Amanda Farr has worked for SEGA since 2009, starting as the UK marketing director before being promoted to European marketing director in 2012. Good luck in your new position at Microsoft, Amanda!
