Shenmue 3 getting its first DLC 'Battle Rally' later this month

Shenmue 3 has finally been released, and while critical and fan reception has been mixed, I think we can all agree the world is a better place with Shenmue in our lives. (Be sure to peep our review!)

That’s why we’re excited to report that Shenmue 3 will get its first downloadable content dubbed “Battle Rally” for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions on Jan. 21.

The DLC was announced by publisher Koch Media France today and will allow you to have a footrace as Ryo, Ren or Wei Zhen and win “incredible” items.

“In addition to playing the hero of our story Ryo Hazuki, players can also choose the treasure-seeking “Wuying Ren” and making her first appearance in this game, Ryo’s sparring partner, “Wei Zhen,” Koch Media UK posted.

We haven’t heard if this paid DLC or free, but we’ll be sure to let you know once we learn more.
