For the JRPG fans out there, Shin Megami Tensei V is the hottest title you can play right now on the Nintendo Switch. Although it is a new Switch-exclusive, it may hit other systems before long. Until then, Switch users will get to experience SMTV’s first post-launch update that will clear up some bugs and have quality-of-life features.
As of writing this, there is no date for the patch itself, but Atlus will notify the community when they have a day and time in mind. But in the meantime, Atlus shared patch notes ahead of time in Japanese. Thankfully, the people over at Final Weapon translated them for everyone to understand:
– More settings in the Options menu
– Camera angle and screen brightness adjustment while navigating the overworld
– Number of wind gimmicks reduced near Demon King’s Castle 3rd Stratum Hall Leyline Fount
– Other minor bug fixes
Most of these updates are very player-focused since the community has actively voiced issues with the title since its release on Nov. 11. And I agree with them since I struggled with the tight camera angles amidst zipping through the overworld. I gladly welcome that change. But despite the shortcomings of Shin Megami Tensei V, it is the number one selling game in Japan.
New patches will start popping up soon at this rate, and when that happens, what would you like to see change? Let us know!
