“Sonic Collection” spotted on French retailer website
SoGamely might have pulled the trigger a little bit early. They have listed a European, PlayStation 4 release for something called “Sonic Collection“. The post was quickly removed from the website. It showed no release date or pricing. The rumor that Zippo started might have been true after all.
Let’s go back to the initial rumors. In addition to our Sonic 3 & Knuckles story, rumors of Sonic Colors getting remastered also floated around in the ether. In regards to the content of the new “Sonic Collection” Zippo states the following:
This one I’ve heard of multiple times. I don’t know exactly what’s in it, but will be a celebration of 30 years of the blue blur, with games that haven’t been in circulation in many years. Sonic Advance, Pocket Adventure and Sonic R all seem like likely inclusions here. SEGA/M2 are likely making this in tandem. If I were a betting man, I’d say this one will release in June, just in time for the 23rd of June.
Zippo’s Rumor Blogspot Post.
Despite only being listed as a PlayStation 4 title, Zippo claims this collection will be released on all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch and PC. Titles like Sonic R, which have not been in major collection releases for a while, are rumored to be part of this package.
Only time will tell if these are true as well. E3 is right around the corner!
