When the first Sonic movie released in February, critics and fans alike were pleasantly surprised at the solid story and were all on board for the sequel. The movie broke a bunch of box office records and Paramount was quick to announce a sequel for 2022.
According to some super sleuthing from Tails’ Channel, there are some interesting tidbits regarding the Sonic sequel’s production.
The sequel is codenamed “Emerald Hill”, and its being administered by in-house production company, Red Energy Films. Barring any unforeseen circumstances due to Covid-19, production for the sequel will take place between March 15 and May 10 2021. No other pertinent information was disclosed in that uncovered document.
The Sonic Movie sequel is scheduled for April 8, 2022.
