Atlus drops a second Soul Hackers 2 trailer

Meet the menacing Phantom Society in Soul Hackers 2.

Only three weeks after Atlus first revealed Soul Hackers 2, they released a second trailer for the upcoming game.

The new trailer highlights one of the game’s Devil Summoner factions the Phantom Society. The Phantom Society will work as an antagonistic force as they conflict with Aion. You can watch the second trailer below with English captions. However, it does contain spoilers from the game’s cutscenes.

Soul Hackers 2 second trailer

The trailer begins with a deadly altercation between two members of the Phantom Society and Ichiro Onda, a member of New Ward 24 Telecoms Research and Development Center. Iron Mask and Zenon approach Onda in search of a Covenant. If the Phantom Society obtains enough Covenants, they can end the world. Only the game’s heroes Ringo and Figue can stop them.

The trailer also highlights gameplay, showing off demons like Cu Chulainn and Kudlak in battle. We also see fights with other Devil Summoners, including Zenon.

What is Soul Hackers 2?

Soul Hackers 2 is a sequel to 1997’s Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. The turn-based JRPG follows a war between two Devil Summoner factions that use demons to help fight in battle. Developed by Atlus, the game features a similar charm to the company’s other titles Persona and Shin Megami Tensei.

The new game releases this year on August 26. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. In Japan, the game will additionally recieve a special 25th anniversary edition for PlayStation. That version also includes a Persona costume, mini figure, book and CD set. In addition, you can learn more about Soul Hackers 2 on the official website.
