A couple of weeks ago, we reported on Streets of Rage 4‘s accidental leak. No, it’s not the water dripping from your ceiling, but info on the long-awaited DLC. On March 23rd, new DLC titled Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare popped up on Steam. The DLC was accidentally leaked through the Steamdb. Today, Dotemu officially revealed the content we’ve all been waiting for:
So… it comes as no surprise that… MR. X IS BACK! Dr. Zan built an AI program from the remnants of Mr. X’s brain – go figure! You get to see some of that DLC in action above, featuring crazy moves from new character Estel Aguirre. As the end of the trailer suggests, this DLC comes with three brand-spankin’ new characters. Only Estel was revealed so far.
On top of the new characters, Streets of Rage 4 gets a Survival Mode, character customization, a Mania + mode, and more. There’s even a training mode with a tutorial! Oh, and let’s not forget the lethal swordfish in Axel’s pulsating hands. You can see the game’s full Steam page here.
As of right now, a concrete release date was not revealed. All we got was ‘coming soon’.
