Streets of Rage and Altered Beast are being adapted for film, television

SEGA’s promise of making quality games again has slowly been coming into fruition. In addition to developing great games, the film and television branch of SEGA is currently in the process of bringing their classic IPs to the small and silver screen. 

According to an announcement by Stories International, the executive producers behind The Walking Dead have partnered with SEGA to adapt Streets of Rage and Altered Beast for film and television. 

“With Lawrence and his team at Circle of Confusion, we are beyond excited to work alongside them to develop and produce these projects. We look forward to seeing the Centurion from ‘Altered Beast’ rise from his grave, and the ‘Streets of Rage’ heroes Adam, Axel and Blaze fight to take their city back on a screen near you.” — Tomoya Suzuki
