Super Monkey Ball actor lists unannounced game
2021 is already shaping to be a year of anniversaries.
With Sonic headlining his 30th anniversary, another SEGA franchise is quietly celebrating 20 years. Yes, Super Monkey Ball will be turning 20 this year. It seems fit that there should be some sort of celebration to it, and it looks like one person may have spilled the beans.
Brain-Matt Uhl, who is known as the announcer since the first game, recently created a website which has all his voice acting credits. Ranging from Super Monkey Ball to Shenmue and Daytona USA 2001. But one title sticks out from the rest.
In his credits for SMB, he put an unannounced project under the title “Super Monkey Ball: Retro”. Of course, the site doesn’t go into anymore detail, but one can assume that SEGA is making an anniversary game for SMB.
Only time will tell if Brain is indeed working on another SMB game. Judging by the title alone, it could be a remake of the first one. Like we said, only time will tell, but for now, we can all but celebrate the upcoming anniversaries that SEGA will have for us.
