The Kvaris region brings snowy mountains to PSO2: New Genesis

In the latest NGS Headline, SEGA announced the newest region coming to Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.

Previously, November’s “Sandstorm Requiem” update brought players to the barren deserts of the Retem region. However, now, fans will explore the new wintery region of Kvaris. Coming in June, the update will expand the world into the snow-covered mountainsides of Kvaris.

The region will also introduce a new city to explore, as well as new enemies to battle. To traverse the snowy mountains, players will additionally get a snowboard to race through the landscape. However, further news on what fans can expect from Kvaris won’t be revealed until the next NGS Headline presentation.

In addition, the update will coincide with the 10th anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2. On July 4, SEGA will launch “several special projects” to celebrate the game. Some of the projects include item design, illustration and online cosplay contests. In addition, SEGA will use an “NGS Official Creator” program with influencers certified by the team.

The next NGS Headline will take place on April 28. The Headline will also reveal more information on content fans can expect in Kvaris. The Kvaris region will officially debut in PSO2: New Genesis this June!

Alongside the new region, players can expect even more content to come to PSO2: New Genesis in June. A roadmap from December details all the new things for players to look forward to in the game, including the third chapter of the campaign.
